ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE AND 100% GENUINE! This is the space shutle featured on CNN news. Rescued from Russia when their new government sold many historical space items to get US cash. Offered by a Russian company, in the USA for $2,000,000. Now for sale at a fraction of that. This is a Bor-5 VKK (spacecraft) used to determine and test the aerodynamic characteristics and the effects of extreme heat and pressure on a spaceship, returning to earth as well as being lauched by rocket. It is an exact 1/8 scale model of the Buran shuttle. This Bor-5 is 16' long and has a wingspan of 9'. It weighs with the heavy steel transporter, about 5000 pounds. This is the only surviving one of a fleet of six, and the only one to successfuly meet its test objectives. It was launched, June 22, 1988, on top of a two stage SL-8 rocket from the Russian Kapustin Yar test grounds, reached an altitude of 210KMS and descended, after a flight of 2100KMs, reaching mach 20 and withstanding heat of 16,000K. It landed, by parachute, near Lake Balkhash. This shuttle shows the marks of extreme heat and pressure on the various mineral fibre glass coverings as well as the tungsten molybdenum nose fairing and wing leading edges. This Bor-5 was last exhibited in Moscow at the "To The Stars" exhibit and is a most important historical relic of the race for outer space exploration. It cost the Russian government MILLIONS to develop and would make a fabulous exhibit. It can be shipped, by boat transport van, to any place in the US.
